Study alongside a job
Adult students come to the Institute for three reasons: a qualification they need for progression, English they need for work or a university application, or a change of direction.
What is available
- IELTS preparation — all four papers, test technique, and mock tests with individual feedback.
- General English — beginner through advanced, small classes, placement assessment before enrolling.
- Academic English — writing, referencing and seminar skills for anyone heading into BTEC or Higher National study.
- Higher National qualifications — the HNC and HND, for those with a Level 3 qualification already.
Timetables
English courses run in the evening and at weekends. Higher National programmes are full-time; talk to admissions if you need a part-time arrangement.
