Foundation Programme
English, academic skills and digital literacy. The entry point if your grades or your English need strengthening before starting a BTEC.
The Foundation Programme prepares you for study at BTEC Level 2 or Level 3. It builds the three things that decide whether students succeed on a UK qualification taught in English: language, academic technique and confidence with digital tools.
What you study
- English for academic purposes, including the skills IELTS assesses
- Academic writing, referencing and research
- Digital literacy — documents, spreadsheets, presentations, online collaboration
- Study skills, time management and independent learning
Where it leads
On successful completion you progress to a Pearson BTEC Level 2 or Level 3 programme at the Institute, depending on your results and your subject interest.
Fees
OMR 2,240 at the founding rate (list price OMR 3,200). Payable in three instalments: 17 October 2026, 24 January 2027 and 1 May 2027.
