Foundation Programme

English, academic skills and digital literacy. The entry point if your grades or your English need strengthening before starting a diploma.

The Foundation Programme prepares you for study at Diploma or Extended Diploma. It builds the three things that decide whether students succeed on a UK qualification taught in English: language, academic technique and confidence with digital tools.

What you study

  • English for academic purposes, including the skills IELTS assesses
  • Academic writing, referencing and research
  • Digital literacy — documents, spreadsheets, presentations, online collaboration
  • Study skills, time management and independent learning

Where it leads

On successful completion you progress to a Diploma or Extended Diploma programme at the Institute, depending on your results and your subject interest.

Fees

OMR 2,240 at the founding rate (list price OMR 3,200). Payable in three instalments: 17 October 2026, 24 January 2027 and 1 May 2027.
